Happy 50th posts to me!! Ah, I'm so excited and I just can't, I just can't hide it! It took me 5 months to realize that I love blogging. This is something that I live for: the love for fashion and exploration. And now I look forward to celebrating my 100th post and/or my one year bloggie-versary! I'm just happy that I have gotten a lot of support and gained a few followers. With that being said, I want to thank each and everyone of you who view my blog and appreciate its contents. Also, a special thanks to my husband, Everett, who kept on pushing me to blog [also because he's my hub...and I love him...and he's my personal photographer ;-)]

To show my token of appreciation, I would love to give this bracelet from Forever 21 to the lucky reader who comments on this post. I have a similar one in teal, here! Tell your fashion forward friends about my blog or share me :-D

the fish and the birds

This morning, I officially departed from four of my Michael Kors bags. It was heart breaking and a little tough on me. One was a gift from Everett, but he thought it was a good idea to sell them because I've out-grown most of them. So, he sold all four. tears*

I'm recovering. Just like little baby birds, I have to leave the nest at some point and move on. It's just a step forward to getting my the bag of my dreams...

-ahhh I miss them already. New owners: take good care of them as I did!

Here's the rundown of my outfit for today: Another easy pull on outfit. Period. My swallow and lasso dress that I got from my favorite boutique on Broadway, a cardi, and flats...period. LOL.

more stripes...

Alright alright, I'll try a week without wearing stripes. I was in a super rush this morning and grabbed the easiest outfit to pull:

sweater dress [check]
sweater vest [got it]
pantyhose [got that too]
boots [whatever was the easiest to pull on]
bags/jewelry [how can I forget?]

Dress: H&M
Vest: Old Navy
Boots: MRTM
Bag: MK

I've been "Wu'ed"

I promised to show my Jason Wu for Target goodies but I never got the time to take pictures of them. Some of the them are definite keepers and a few are questionable. This one is actually my most favorite dress out of them all. I did have to wear a slip with my hosiery because ladies, it's a bit see-through!

Dress: Jason Wu for Target
Blazer: F21
Shoes: Nine West
Necklace: H&M

Btw, sorry for the weird angle and lighting. I didn't have time to edit them and my camera was not cooperating with me when changing the settings. I was in a hurry to take them off [the slip+hose combo was cutting into my circulation!]

Psychedelic Movement

I'm was feeling very circa 1966 yesterday with my ensemble. Ready for some Go-Go dancing! I was such in a great, funky mood! [pictures reflect the funkiness]

I love love love this dress and it was the very first time I've ever worn it. I got it from Ross made by Taylor Dress. I specifically look for this brand in my triple threat retailers and the buyer for this one did an awesome job! The dress fit perfectly, not too tight, and the lenght was great! What a find!

Oh, and I finally put my hair down for once. yay me

Ok, time to get the serious pose in...you always have to give yourself a break and act silly one time or another. I had so much fun taking these pictures by myself that I wish I could post all of them! [but that would be a little narcassistic of me] Who cares!!!

Dress: Taylor Dress from MRTM

Rust and Naval stripes

There's one thing I love and they are stripes. I own every kind imaginable: dresses, skirts, socks, and shirts. I couldn't pass up this one from F21 for $8 and I certainly could not wait until summer to wear this mini. Luckily, we've been having a mild winter and I decided to pair it up with a rusty colored cardigan. Too short for work...I know, I know. I tried mandating my desk all of 8 hours as much I could!

Side note: I need to trim my hair and break this habit of putting it straight into a pony tail~

Cardi/Dress/Belt: F21

dark, dark, and dark

I never knew much about fashion rules until I wore dark navy and black together. When my husband and I started dating a few years ago, he noticed what I had on and corrected me on the spot. He told me how much he disliked hated the way they looked together. Informing me that, black+navy and brown+black should never be worn together because they are too close of a hue and that they blend. "It's almost like wearing two different blacks, ew" he scoffed.

Well...I broke all those rules today. It was dark out and we were expecting snow [yes, I was dreading it] and I just wanted to set my tone. I managed to combine all those inappropriate colors in one: black+navy+brown. Ha! I think rules are meant to be broken and to be broken in style ^_^
